Biased Baseball Broadcasters

So the Wall Street Journal made a study of which broadcasters were the most biased towards the home team. The Phillies’ Tom McCarthy and Chris Wheeler came out tied for seventh. It’s kind of a silly study, really. They only watched one game for each team, so I don’t even know how this was published. Not to defend Tom and Wheels necessarily, but maybe they were more biased for that game. I do think McCarthy is too bubbly about the team. I don’t think it is necessarily a bad thing for an a broadcaster to be a homer; Harry Kalas was. You can read the full story here.

    • Yeah, I’m not a fan of “T-Mac” either. The radio guys are clearly better.
