A Quiet Time

Today was the first Sunday in a really long time where there was no Phillies article in the Inquirer. So, really, there is not much to talk about now. Of course, if I had more time, I’d write a little bit about some historical aspect to the game, but I don’t have the time.

Some things floating out there are that the Angels seem to have interest in Ryan Madson and that Brett Myers wants to start, with the Twins having interest in that.   Both could possibly help the Phillies’ bullpen, but I really don’t think it would be a good idea to let Brett Myers back on the team.

While not much is going on, just remember what it used to be like for the Phillies in the winter. There would be NO news at all, because they would never sign anyone except for washed-up bums. At least now we know they will sign decent players, even if they happen to be close to 40. And you know Amaro, he likes to make a big splash, so you never know….
