More on Soriano

This Soriano deal refuses to go away. MLBtraderumors.com is saying it is a longshot, so hopefully it will stay that way. They also include a report from Jon Heyman of CBSsports.com that states the trade was Dom Brown for Soriano with the Cubs picking up all but $10 million of his salary. While losing Dom Brown would not be that big of  deal, I still don’t think it would be worth going for Soriano. I just see his power numbers coming down, and that is all he has at this point. Believe it or not, I am not quire ready to give up on Brown, either. I would prefer Cody Ross at this point. Although, that would require a deal of a few years. That’s why I remain a Swisher fan, but the Phillies never seem to be mentioned with Swisher, so it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.
