More Phils-Nats Stuff

Sometimes it’s useful to check in other cities’ newspapers to get the view from the other side of the aisle, and I found this tidbit about Halladay’s “wild” pitch the other day against the Nats. This was not in any Philly paper as far as I can tell:

Nationals Manager Davey Johnson insisted he didn’t think much of the incident, saying it was “much ado about nothing.” To be sure, he asked Moore if there was any history between the players. Moore’s response, according to Johnson: “He said, ‘There is now.’ I wouldn’t want Moore coming after me, I know that.”

But Johnson, in his typical way, added a joking jab about Halladay: “Maybe Hamels is coaching him.”

I must admit that last quip was pretty good. And while Moore claiming that there is now a history sounds good, he later downplayed the incident. I just hope this makes for an exciting series of matchups against these teams, the first being in May. It would be nice if they were both close in the standings at that point, and really through the whole year.
