Still A Problem

Just because they won last night, doesn’t mean the Phillies are on the path to the playoffs. There is still a problem with scoring runs. And last night, there was a problem with getting hits. Howard looks like the Howard of old and seems to have quickly gotten into a funk where he doesn’t know what to swing at. It would be great to get a win to get to .500 today. As Ricky Bottalico said last night, the Mets and the Marlins are both on deck and one of the keys to the season will be to beat up on those two teams. Because we all know the Braves (the Upton brothers were a two-man wrecking crew last night) and the Nationals will be tough to play this year. If the Phillies can manage to play those two teams close to .500, the only way they make the playoffs is to destroy the Mets and Marlins. Of course, the Braves and Nationals will look to do that as well.
