No doubt you’ve seen Michael Wacha taking the post-season by storm. You may have wondered “why didn’t the Phillies draft that guy?”. Wacha was taken at 19 in the first round, so 18 other teams had a shot at him. The Phillies, however, did not pick until the very last slot (remember they had that great record in 2011) and that pick wen to the Red Sox anyway (probably when the Phillies signed Papelbon. But he was worth it, right?). Of course, the Cardinals have several other young talented players the Phillies could have had.
