Bowa Is Concerned About the Offense

..and he should be. The Phillies bats have been asleep for almost every game this year. Yes, it’s just spring training, but for a team that was so bad offensively last year, they don’t have the luxury of saying that. It’s been noted elsewhere that the Phillies offense is at the bottom of almost every offensive category so far this spring. Don’t worry, their batting average is only about 40 points lower than the Cubs. Their best hitter? John Mayberry, Jr. That’s not good news, folks, because that means he will make the team.

Today, Larry Bowa was on Mike Missanelli’s show and spoke about the struggles. Like the Bowa we know, he was honest. Hopefully it is just taking them longer to get going, because, if not, we could be in for a really, really long summer.
